My my My my
LSLL Season Start Postponed

LSLL Families,

A few days ago I wrote to you about how the league was dealing with the COVID-19 virus. At that time I stated the Board of Directors would be meeting on Sunday evening to provide more clear guidance in the face of the changing landscape we're experiencing. Our meeting ended a few minutes ago and I wanted to pass along that guidance.

As I stated previously, the safety of our players and families is always our utmost concern. Based on guidance from state and local officials, Little League International, and many health organizations, Loudoun South Little League is ceasing activites effective immediately. We will remain "closed" through Sunday, April 12th.

At this time we are tentatively working on plans to resume operations and start our season with practices on Monday, April 13th. The league will continuously monitor the situation and adjust that timeline as needed. The Board of Directors is meeting again in two weeks to determine if further changes or postponements are needed.

In addition, we are postponing our Opening Day celebration which is currently scheudled for Saturday, April 18th. Once we return to normal operations we will re-evaluate our options to celebrate together as a baseball community.

As always, my door is always open so please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Regards, Joe Soricelli - LSLL President
